Press Release 05-27-05Calgary, Alberta, May 27, 2005
Tech Works Engineering Inc. (TechWorks)
is
now offering camshafts for the USDM Subaru Impreza STi. We have done
this in response to customers demand for leading edge performance
from their STi engines. There are several offerings of “mild grind”
camshafts for the Subaru STi models, so we have decided to offer a
Stage III grind for the more aggressive engine builder. The cams
require our complete package of springs, titanium retainers, valve
spring seats, and lash caps to allow for proper valve train geometry
and dynamic function. Specs are 0.419 inch lift for
both intake and exhaust and duration of 235 degrees at 0.050”
lift. Seat to seat duration at 0.004 inch lift is 321
degrees for both the intake and exhaust lobes. This package
with appropriately matched exhaust components and engine management
will produce power up to 8500 rpm with a slightly
rough but very “streetable” idle quality.
